Twentieth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It’s good to be back at the parish! Some events for you to know about:

• On Sunday, September 13, during the 11:30 a.m. Mass, I will be formally installed as pastor. Bishop Edmund Whalen—one of the auxiliary bishops who assist Archbishop Hicks—will be the main celebrant of that Mass, and Fr. Boniface plans on making the long trek from the Upper East Side to concelebrate. 

• Our parish celebration for Fr. Boniface will be held on Sunday, October 11. I know that’s a ways off: it was the best option when it came to balancing Fr. Boniface’s travel schedule and the parish calendar. Fr. Boniface will be the main celebrant at the 11:30 a.m. Mass that day. Following Mass, there will be a reception in McGuire Hall. I encourage you to attend the Mass and the reception. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Fr. Boniface for his leadership of the parish for the past eight years.
