Street Outreach
Encountering Christ through our Friends on the Street
Join us as we engage in conversations with our neighbors staying on the streets/subways of our community. We gather at 7pm in McGuire Hall or in front of St. Joseph's Church if the hall is occupied. Street Outreach Prayer Partners
Every Friday, St. Joseph's Street Outreach ministry has between 20-30 volunteers split into 6 different groups and go throughout the greater Greenwich Village area to engage in conversations and bring small donations to individuals we meet on the street and subway. These individuals are a part of our St. Joseph's community and are in special need of prayers and support. Since not everyone can join us for Outreach on Fridays, we wanted to extend our ministry to get the whole parish involved by creating "Prayer Partners" for each of our outreach routes.
We hope to have 6 volunteers each week pray intentionally for the individuals that our groups encountered the following Friday (the names of the individuals will be added to the second tab of the Excel sheet). This could include offering a holy hour in the adoration chapel, saying a daily rosary, offering communion at mass, etc. Please sign up on the sheet to get involved!
