Third sunday of ordinary time

by Fr. Boniface, O.P.

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

I have exciting news: we have a new friar serving at St. Joseph’s! Fr. Jacek Buda OP has joined the Dominican community here and is serving as a vicar at the parish. Some parishioners when they learn that we have a new friar ask who’s leaving and to that I have a great answer: no one. We’re now at 6 friars in the community here. I’m excited to have Fr. Jacek here because he has a lot of experience and will help us keep the parish growing. Make sure to welcome him to our parish community.

Coming up is Candlemas. On Monday, February 2nd, is the Presentation of the Lord. We’ll have an evening Mass at 7pm that begins in McGuire Hall will a special blessing of the candles to be used in the parish, and you can bring any of your own candles you’d like us to bless too. We’ll then process into the church for the Mass. It’s a great Mass so consider joining us.

God bless,

Fr. Boniface
