Fourth Sunday of Advent

by Fr. Boniface Endorf, O.P.

Big news for the Archdiocese of New York: a new Archbishop has been named: Archbishop-delegate Ronald Hicks, currently the Bishop of Joliet, Illinois. Bishop Hicks will be installed as the new Archbishop of New York on February 6th, 2026, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Please keep Cardinal Dolan and Bishop Hicks in your prayers.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our bake sale last weekend—we raised $1,275 for the Sisters of Life Christmas Gift Drive, which supports mothers and children in need.

We’re almost at Christmas! We have only a final few days before Christ’s Nativity. If you’re looking for some last Advent activities, this Monday we have the Canticum Scholare concert at St. Joseph’s! It’s run by Jin Krista, our traditional choir director here, and will feature Advent and Christmas motets and carols. There’s a suggested donation of $25 at the door and it’s at 7:30pm this Monday. It’ll be a great final preparation for Christmas!

Speaking of Christmas, here’s our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass schedule:

Christmas Eve, 12/24:
1
2:10pm Christmas Eve daily Mass (not a Christmas Mass itself)
5pm Christmas Vigil Mass
10pm Christmas Mass at Night

Christmas Day, 12/25:
9am Christmas Morning Mass
11:30am Christmas Day Mass

Have a Merry Christmas,

Fr. Boniface
