Eighteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time
by Fr. Boniface Endorf, OP
Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
The Fall parish season is coming quickly, which means the beginning of OCIA and CCD. OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) is the program for those who wish to convert to Catholicism, or for adult Catholics who are either uncatechized (ie: have never learned the Faith) or have not yet received the sacrament of Confirmation. If you or someone you know would like to become Catholic or is yet to receive Confirmation, please contact St. Joseph’s to join this year’s OCIA class. People really enjoy the program, which has Sunday classes (after the 11:30 Sunday Mass) that run from September through Easter. It’s a great way to join or grow in one’s Faith.
CCD, or children’s religious education, will also begin in a couple months. If you have children in need of First Communion or Confirmation, or who need education in their Faith, now is a perfect time to sign them up. Just contact the parish office to do so.
Have a blessed summer!
Fr. Boniface
