Pentecost Sunday

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

Blessed Pentecost! Today the Holy Spirit comes down upon us, leading us to the Holiness He calls us to, to the eternal life He wants for us. Let’s follow His lead!

We have a busy week coming up:

• Dominican Discourse begins again this Monday, June 9th, at 7:30pm in McGuire Hall. It’s a discussion on the faith led by a friar. It’s great fun and open to everyone.

• Please join us this Tuesday, June 10th, at 7:15pm in the church for a piano recital by Benjamin Pawlak, a parishioner, Juilliard graduate, and Assistant Keyboardist with the New York Philharmonic. This piano recital is a fundraiser for our boiler fund. Afterwards, there’s a light reception in McGuire Hall. If you want to purchase a ticket or would like more information, please see here.

• This Saturday, June 14th, we’re holding a Pentecost retreat in the church. The retreat will begin at 8:30 AM with coffee and breakfast in McGuire Hall. The day will consist of guided meditations, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, praise and worship, and conclude with Mass here at 12:10 and gathering with refreshments in McGuire Hall. • Finally, this week our student brothers are arriving so please welcome them to St. Joe’s. They’re Brs. Athanasius and Michael.
